An IPSEC flyer with a message for the governor

Do not relicense this plant

Laying out the issue, the Indian Point Safe Energy Coalition (IPSEC) says on its homepage:
The NRC is considering Entergy's application to relicense Indian Point 2 & 3 which are operating under their original 40 year licenses, expiring in 2013 and 2015, respectively. Both IP2 and IP3 have been plagued with major safety problems for decades. As the reactors age, Indian Point will experience an increasing number of equipment and safety-related failures.

What's at stake?

With the NRC’s demonstrated lack of effective oversight and Entergy’s apparent disregard for public safety, renewing Indian Point’s licenses for another twenty years puts 20 million people at risk.

A downloadable PDF of the flyer below is available on the
homepage of the Indian Point Safe Energy Coalition.
